Impact by Numbers

Women Deliver

6,300 delegates. 170 countries. The world's largest gathering on gender equality, hosted on African soil for the first time.

Women Deliver 2023, Kigali

Women Deliver 2023 brought together over 6,300 delegates from 170 countries, with more than 10,000 joining virtually — the largest conference of its kind, and the first time it had ever been held on the African continent.

I led the creative, design, and production — and because this was Africa's first time hosting, the brief wasn't just to brand a conference. It was to build a visual identity and design system that genuinely reflected the continent: something that could work across posters and signage, motion graphics and broadcast screens, all under the theme "Spaces, Solidarity, and Solutions."

On the ground in Kigali, I directed the video and photography teams, capturing a highlights reel featuring former prime ministers, vice presidents, and Nobel Peace Prize laureate Malala Yousafzai.

One moment that's stayed with me: when there was no one else to do it, I stepped in to conduct those interviews myself. Sitting across from these women and hearing what's actually happening for women around the world changed how I see things — the strength in those conversations is something I still think about.

The work supported a media campaign that generated over 1,300 articles globally, valued at $15.3 million, and helped cement long-term advocacy frameworks for women-led organizations worldwide.
