I've spent my career at the intersection of creativity and curiosity. Not just making things look good, but asking what an idea could actually do — for people, for communities, for the world. That question has taken me to some unexpected places.
I've spent a week in the bush at Kruger learning about poaching from the people who fight it every day, watching sunrises over the plains, getting closer to elephants and lions than felt entirely sensible, and understanding that the most powerful ideas come when you get close enough to feel what's actually at stake. I've travelled the length of Africa, from a coastal city in Angola to the streets of Lagos to the hills of Rwanda, learning how different and how similar we all are. I've sat across from some of the most remarkable women in the world, including Nobel Peace Prize winner Malala, and asked them what they believe.
All of it goes into the work. The curiosity never switches off.
Not in the abstract sense. I believe in compounding dreams, making every small one happen, so the bigger ones don't feel impossible.
Going to Old Trafford was a childhood dream. I made it happen. Celebrating my 30th birthday in Portugal with a group of strangers from around the world, that was another one. Becoming a Creative Director when I started out as a designer, that one took the longest and meant the most.
The way I see it, every small dream you actually do teaches you that the next one is possible too. That's the philosophy I bring into my work, my businesses, and everything I build.
Over a decade at Edelman I learnt something I carry into everything: the best creative work starts not with what you want to say, but with what people actually need to feel. I've worked with teams across the world, led campaigns that changed policy, and fought hard for ideas I believed in, and for the people brave enough to believe in them with me.
Now I'm building my own. Just Like Sunday, Alkhemy, ZAZA — each one an expression of everything I've learnt, not just in my career but in my whole life.
